Without Thought

Surging with energy and aggression, Guildford based rock/punk band, Without Thought mix unpretentious, sincere emotion with moments of pure and perfect fury. Unrestricted by genre or image, they strive to show that heavy music can be sensitive and soulful whilst at the same time they show that “emo” does not have to be sung by some bunch of pussies whining about girls. Unlike so many of their peers- are not just about teenage angst, there are levels of darkness to Without Thought, injecting a much needed boost of venom and hatred into emotional rock music. Last year their debut single ‘Grey Matter’ was released on Basick Records and was played on a number of rock shows and landed them shows with Skindred, Sikth, Enter Shikari, Fast Lane, Days In December, Betty Curse. Singles will be released in April along with the album in May. Without Thought

Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls

The Wonder Stuff’s founder-member and lead vocalist, Miles Hunt, and fiddle player Erica Nockalls have been playing shows around the world as whilst The Wonder Stuff have taken a year off. Last year they recorded the incredible album ‘Not An Exit’, which was heralded as Miles’ finest work. Last year they played 2 x 8 week tours around the country performing acoustic versions of old and new Wonder Stuff songs, as well as selected titles from the album. Erica brings a new dimension to the set, playing fiddle on classic Wonder Stuff songs as well as on songs that have never featured fiddles before. The strings throughout the entire set show the more roots/folk side of The Wonder Stuff’s songs. By way of introducing each song in the set, Miles recounts stories of life on the road, tales from The Wonder Stuff and life in general. It's a double dose of Miles; the singer-songwriter and monologue-ist! The duo will be touring the US, playing shows in Germany and the UK this year, as well as shows with The Wonder Stuff. Contra Mundum

Signed to the uber cool White Label Music, Contra Mundum are producers and founder members of Republica, Flowered Up, Soul Family Sensation and have written a myriad of hits all around the world for various artists. Contra Mundum is the new wave of older nu-rave. The sound itself predates analogue electronica - mostly seventies Kraut - all seventies synthetic fibres, concrete and functional sterility. With secondary guitars giving way to pounding synth onslaughts the sound is more Autobahn than City, in fact there are tinges of French. With dates in Paris, Barcelona and London already under their belts the band will be touring throughout Europe in 2008. Contra Mundum
